Information for Parents
LLL Preschool is not a co-op — parents are not required to commit time or become involved in day-to-day school operations. However, we have many opportunities for parental involvement if you so choose. Our Administrative Board, comprised solely of parents, helps with the functioning of the school, plans family activities and fundraising events, prepares and edits the school newsletters, and oversees the preparation of the annual school budget. More importantly, parents are welcome in our classrooms at all times. You do not need to make prior arrangements to spend time with us. We encourage you to come in to share your child's school experience.
Parent Administrative Board
The Administrative Board is comprised of parents who volunteer, on an annual basis, to carry out the will of the corporation. The Board meets monthly to make decisions concerning the day-to-day operation of the school and school property, under the supervision of the Director. The Board also serves as representatives of LLL Preschool in the community.Volunteer Opportunities
LLL Preschool encourages parents to be as active in their child's classroom as they'd like. Parents are always welcome in the classroom, and special events can be arranged for parents who wish to participate in reading, music, storytelling or other types of enrichment.Parents may also participate in their child's class through various volunteer positions including: Class Liaison, Photographer, and Coffee Hour Coordinator. These positions only require a small investment of time and are available at the beginning of each school year.
