Q: Does LLL Preschool have a formal diapering policy?
A:  It is most desirable that all children entering the school be in the process of toilet training, but we are aware that toilet training is developmental and individually timed. If you send your child to school in diapers, please bring in a supply of disposable diapers and wipe-off cloths for school use as needed.

Q: What sort of discipline techniques are used at LLL Preschool?
A:   The LLL Preschool staff uses child guidance techniques such as setting reasonable limits and positive expectations, offering choices, and providing children an opportunity to verbalize their feelings. These techniques encourage children to develop self-control through understanding. Teachers, working with children, help to develop clear and simple classroom rules to promote respect and maximize safety.

Q: Is a snack provided?
A: LLL Preschool provides and serves a healthy snack on a daily basis. Snack examples include cheerios, goldfish, fresh fruits and juices. We serve a daily snack that is safe for everyone (including all children with food allergies).

Q: My child has food allergies. What measures does LLL Preschool take to protect children with food allergies?
A: LLL Preschool is a nut-free environment. Any type of food containing nuts or nut products cannot be brought into the building. Additionally, we have provided hand/face wipes at the doors and coatrooms for your convenience, should you need to wash the remnants of such snacks off your preschooler or their siblings.

Additionally, the teachers at LLL Preschool are happy to discuss unique allergy situations, are fully trained in allergy treatment methods, and will store any medications necessary in a secure area of the classroom.

Q: Does LLL Preschool offer an extended day program?
A: LLL Preschool offers two extended day programs. Lunch Bunch is available for children in Preschool 1, Preschool 2, and Preschool 3. Lunch Bunch runs on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:45-1:00pm. Extended Learning is available for children in Preschool 2, and Preschool 3. Extended Learning runs on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:45-2:30pm.

Each family receives two fobs at the start of the school year (upon receipt of a refundable deposit); these fobs must be returned at the end of the school year.
